The hotel sits in a stunning location with the ocean in front and mountains behind, offering breathtaking views that made our morning breakfast enjoyable. Speaking of breakfast, the selection was ample-plenty of fruits and pastries to fuel our days. Each day, we participated in guided hiking tours, which catered to various skill levels. The hike along the Gönguskörð pass was particularly lovely, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the untouched beauty of Borgarfjörður Eystri. We even managed to squeeze in a relaxing walk barefoot along the beach, where the kids delighted in splashing in the waves. A special mention goes to Mike, a staff member whose hospitality stood out. When we arrived late and starving, he kindly offered us some hot vegetable soup and bread, which was very much appreciated, especially after a long day of exploring. Alfheimar provided a comfortable stay for our family, with spacious rooms equipped for our needs. It truly fostered a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for families wanting to connect with nature and create lasting memories!
